Just started making cards. I intended to make a scrapbook of my children's photos. Saw Joanna on Create and Craft and became hooked on card making.

Crafted on and off all my life. Started with knitting and crocheting and progressed to basket making, beadwork on a loom, modelling with fimo, batik, paper mache, flower arranging, candle making, macrame and pottery. Loved experimenting with different kinds of glaze mixes and seeing what came out of the kiln.

Helped to run a self-help craft group while bringing up the children. My youngest was 27 when I finally went back to work. Couldn't stretch it out any longer! We had a free room at the local primary for 20 years. Only downside was feeling duty bound to teach the children craft for two hours every week.
